You're carrying more than most people can see...
Trying to conceive, living with endometriosis or PCOS, or waiting on a body that won't give clear answers — it's exhausting to put into words. The two-week wait. The scan that didn't show what you hoped. None of it is "just in your head," and none of it is yours to carry alone.

Chronic reproductive illness rarely stays in one lane — it touches your marriage, your work, your sense of your own body, often while others see only a fraction of what it costs you. Grief and hope can sit side by side in the same week.

This is a space built for that — for the waiting, the appointments, and the parts of this journey that don't fit neatly into a diagnosis. You don't have to explain the basics here. We can start where you are.

I write this not just as a counsellor, but as a woman who has lived parts of this road too.

Meet Carey
I'm Carey Ryan, a counsellor and life coach based in Hillcrest, KZN, working with women online and in person. My approach blends psychology, life coaching, and faith which quietly shapes how I hold this work — evidence-based tools, a calm and unhurried space, and a steady belief that you are never carrying this alone.

This work is personal to me. I've faced my own experience with infertility and the ongoing toll of a painful chronic illness — and I know, from the inside, how much it asks of you: your body, your patience, your sense of what "normal" looks like. That's part of why I do this work the way I do — with real understanding, not just training.

Every woman who sits with me is dealing with something layered — a diagnosis, a delay, a body that feels unpredictable — and my role isn't to fix or rush that. It's to help you feel steadier, less alone, and more able to make the decisions in front of you.

1-on-1 Counseling & Coaching
Personalised, private support — online or in person — for wherever you are right now. I don't work from a clinical office; sessions often happen in a quiet corner of a relaxed coffee shop or online, so our conversations feel more like a real conversation than an appointment. We'll go at your pace, with space held just for you

Ways we can work together
Whether you're trying to conceive, searching for a diagnosis, or rebuilding your life after treatment, there's a way to work together that fits where you are.

Group Sessions & Workshops
Connect with other women who understand this without needing it explained. Group sessions bring together women at different points in the journey — some just starting out, others further along — to share experience, reduce isolation, and be reminded you're not the only one.

Women's groups, health organisations, schools and workplaces

Women's health and wellbeing talks focusing on reproductive health conditions, helping women recognise symptoms early and support each other toward answers, equipping teams and students to manage symptoms and hard days while still thriving in the classroom or at work.
